Changing lives through dance, it takes a community

Second Stage Dance SSD is a Canadian charity that supports dancers from communities that often lack adequate access to resources by providing them with the dance items, scholarships, or grants they need for experiencing the joy of dance. SSD see’s a problem imbalance with too many costumes that sit unused and unworn, with too many dancers that get left out. SSD has created a costume reuse system combating costume waste and exclusivity within the dance scene. SSD believes that all dancers, especially those who face challenging circumstances have the right to feel supported and seen as they participate in dance and explore their artistic dream

Second Stage Dance supports dancers by assisting with eliminating the financial barriers that prevent them from participating in dance programs.
