Haileigh Thoman [she/her]

Haileigh Thoman is a recent graduate of the University of Ottawa, where she completed a degree in social sciences. She has held leadership roles in student organizations, including serving as Vice President of Administration for Theta Sigma Psi, where she coordinated a sustainable clothing drive in support of Minwaashin Lodge.
Haileigh has also served as a Teaching Assistant for Indigenous Studies and worked as an Assistant Curator at the Maidstone Bicentennial Museum, where she contributed to cultural programming and educational initiatives. She has been actively engaged in reconciliation work as a Youth Ambassador for the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund and has participated in national programs such as the Senate of Canada’s Model Senate.
Through her academic, professional, and volunteer experiences, Haileigh has developed strong organizational, mentorship, and advocacy skills. She is passionate about advancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and brings lived experience as a young francophone woman from a minority community.
Haileigh looks forward to contributing her perspective and commitment to social change through the Rise on Boards+ program.
