Emma Saffar [she/her]

Emma Saffar is a project coordinator with experience working on gender equality, human rights, and inclusive public policy across national and international contexts. She currently works with the Association féministe d’éducation et d’action sociale (Afeas), where she leads the coordination of a pan-Canadian coalition dedicated to the recognition of invisible labour. In this role, she brings together organizations from across provinces and territories and oversees key initiatives
Previously, Emma contributed to the International Civil Aviation Organization, where she supported the preparation of the Global Aviation Gender Summit in collaboration with UN Women, the ILO, and the European Commission. She also gained early experience with the Comité for Human Rights in Latin America, where she worked on communications and advocacy to raise awareness of human rights violations.
Emma holds an MSc in International Relations of the Americas from University College London, where she specialized in gender issues and human rights in Latin America, and a BA in International Relations and International Law from Université du Québec à Montréal. Trilingual in French, Spanish, and English, she is committed to building bridges between communities and advancing policies that foster equity and inclusion.
