Mairo Ahmadu (she/her) is a Nigerian-born mental health therapist, researcher, and creative based in Winnipeg, Canada. She is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, complemented by a background in research and program management.

Mairo’s professional journey spans private practice, academic research, and international development. She has worked on projects addressing mental health equity, harm reduction, and gender equality, with experience in both Canada and Ghana. Her work is guided by a commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a particular interest in the intersections of race, culture, gender, and wellness. Mairo is passionate about mentorship, creative expression, and community engagement. She has published academic articles, contributed to policy-relevant reports, and shared her voice through podcasts and writing.
