Kina Utoro is a recent Bachelor of Design graduate of Emily Carr University of Art + Design, currently residing on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Kina’s interests in climate resiliency, equity, and food systems have led to her current involvement with social impact initiatives, notably through volunteer work at national and regional organizations, including Propel Impact, Public Health Association of BC, and Waterlution.

She is currently a Research Assistant at the Circular Food Innovation Lab, a joint initiative between the City of Vancouver and Emily Carr, and is passionate about working with organizations that contribute to systems change and climate solutions.
