Kasonde Mutale [she/her]

Rise on Boards+ | Cohort 3

I am Kasonde Mutale, a Zambian Black femme and a visitor on Turtle Island. I am many things in many different spaces—an artist, a scholar, a performer, an activist, and most immediately, a friend. My undergraduate foundation in Philosophy has shaped me into a critical thinker who engages deeply with ethics and applies those principles in both professional and community contexts.

My journey has given me the opportunity to practice facilitation, coordination, and program development with the goal of continuously creating inclusive, collaborative spaces. I carry a commitment to asking hard questions, building connections, and ensuring that dialogue leads to meaningful outcomes. My favourite question has always been “why,” because it opens the door to curiosity, growth, and collective understanding. I bring this mix of analysis, creativity, and care to support equity, representation, and meaningful community impact.
