Rise on Boards+ | Cohort 3
I am a recent graduate of the University of Toronto (SC), where I completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Population Health Studies. Throughout my academic journey, I developed a strong interest in the intersection of healthcare, equity, and digital systems. My coursework in health information systems and epidemiology, alongside research experience at the Centre for Vaccine Preventable Diseases, solidified my passion for using data-driven approaches to improve population health.
Beyond academics, I have demonstrated leadership and governance experience. I served as a Board Director at the Women’s and Trans Centre, Campus Affairs Committee, & the Academic Affairs Committee at UTSC. There, I represented student perspectives in decision-making. These roles gave me valuable insight into governance, advocacy, and the importance of centering diverse voices. I continue to serve my alma mater by being part of the UTSC Alumni Association as an Advisory member.
Currently, I am pursuing Clinical Bioinformatics at Humber College and am working in the healthcare management space, with aspirations of shaping systems to be more efficient, equitable, and inclusive. As a young South Asian woman passionate about equity and community well-being, I am committed to bringing my perspective and skills to governance spaces.
