Andrea Prescott-Cornejo [she/her]

Andrea is a registered social worker based in Ottawa, ON. She currently works at CHEO and Roger Neilson Children’s Hospice, where she is part of a multidisciplinary team, providing psychosocial care and support to children, youth and their families in palliative care, as well as grief support to bereaved families.

As an intersectional feminist, she is committed to working alongside the communities she serves and belongs to, with the goal of improving wellbeing and advancing equity. Trilingual, she is a curious and compassionate individual dedicated to lifelong learning and development. Her volunteer work, which began in high school, has played a pivotal role in her professional journey. She hopes to continue advancing her career in pediatric social work and grief care, particularly during these challenging times for the healthcare system.

Andrea holds an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in International Development and Globalization, with a minor in German Language and Culture from the University of Ottawa. Her undergraduate studies included an enriching semester abroad at the University of Mannheim in Germany. She went on to complete a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto.
