Press Release: Fora: Network for Change Hosts One-Day Forum to Reimagine Mentorship, Leadership, and Careers in a Shifting Economy
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
”Young Leaders and Senior Sector Voices to Converge at Fora’s 2025 Leadership Forum”
TORONTO, October 17, 2025 — On October 17, Fora: Network for Change will host its annual Leadership Forum, a one-day, high-impact event designed to unite young leaders and established professionals across sectors to shape pathways for career development and mentorship.
Held from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, the 2025 Forum will focus on the theme “Investing in Careers, Community, and Mentorship.” This year’s programming centers intergenerational dialogue—recognizing that building inclusive, future-ready leadership means bringing together emerging talent and senior leaders in meaningful conversation and collaboration.
Throughout the day, participants will engage in dynamic leadership discussions across nonprofit, corporate, and public sectors. Interactive workshops will provide tools to navigate careers with clarity and purpose, while curated networking spaces are designed to foster mentorship, professional growth, and collective momentum. Whether participants are seeking to deepen their impact, build their board presence, explore new career pathways, or find alignment in their leadership journey, this forum offers a launchpad for career development rooted in equity and care.
A featured Fireside Conversation will bring together Fora’s founder, The Honourable Senator Farah Mohamed, and current CEO Emma Asiedu-Akrofi for an intergenerational dialogue on leadership in complex times. Drawing on Senator Mohamed’s experience in the charitable sector and the Canadian Senate, the conversation will explore youth underemployment, risk-taking in leadership, and how governance and advocacy intersect across institutions. The session will offer reflections on sustaining impact for the next generation of change-makers, followed by an audience Q&A.
The event is designed to engage both women and individuals aged 18–29 navigating gender-based discrimination, alongside mentors, senior leaders, and professionals across generations committed to equity and systems change. With a focus on community, career development, and shared leadership, the Forum invites participants to reimagine what it means to lead—and thrive—today.
Media are invited to attend, cover, and connect with participants and speakers. Interviews with Fora’s leadership team and select Forum speakers can be arranged upon request.
