RJ Diana Henry [she/her]

RJ Diana Henry is a student at the University of Ottawa. She is studying Interdisciplinary Psychology to better understand and address the intersection of personal identity, culture, and the social structures people live in.
She is an Executive Coordinator at Girls of Destiny, a Mississauga-based initiative that helps young black women navigate transitions between the ages of 11 and 17. RJ connects participants with a range of professionals, including social workers, teachers, and mental health professionals. This initiative provides equitable opportunities for growth, mentorship and empowerment.
RJ is also a part of Future Black Female (FBF) championship program, a Canada-wide initiative that cultivates local leaders. Through this program, RJ contributes to community research and engagement in Ottawa, helping to gather data that informs more effective initiatives for marginalized populations.
RJ exemplifies leadership through her commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces for young women to thrive and by advancing equity within her community. Her work with Girls of Destiny and Future Black Female reflects her dedication to empowering others and fostering meaningful, long-term social impact.
