Iqra Mahmood is a Policy Analyst at the Department of Canadian Heritage with the Government of Canada. She has held various leadership positions throughout her life, building a supportive community for marginalized groups, including through her work as President of the School of Public Policy and Administration (SPPA) student society.

She was a non-partisan intern at the Ontario Legislature, working for the Opposition Health Critic, the Parliamentary Assistant to the President of the Treasury Board, and the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario. She is also a prolific artist and painter.
