Jayda Felix is a graduate of Chemical Engineering and Engineering Management at the University of Ottawa. Her interests have led her to multiple leadership positions in academic, extracurricular and research settings. Through her passion for sustainability and environmental efforts, she has participated in national competitions, including the Reg Freissan Competition at the Canadian Chemical Engineering Conference, where she placed first for her presentation that suggested introducing more green engineering techniques within the undergraduate syllabus.

Her involvement in student life and engagement with student affairs led fellow students to elect her as Vice President of Equity and Transparency for her student association. She also participated in various student integration programs simultaneously. As Vice President of Processes for the student-led Nanobrew team at the university, she advocates for hands-on learning experiences of chemical engineering techniques by using the brewing process. The Nanobrew team has created numerous batches, including a 1500 L batch for the University of Ottawa’s Homecoming, still available for purchase at Beyond the Pale Brewery in Ottawa, Ontario.
