Alisha D'Mello [she/her]

Alisha holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences with a Minor in Political Science from the University of Ottawa. She worked for Youthful Cities (Pivot Hub), supporting research for a post-COVID recovery centring youth. She has years of experience working and volunteering in the nonprofit sector, where she strengthened her leadership and training skills serving youth. Her interests lie in youth-led programming, local arts and culture projects, and policy writing.
Throughout her volunteer and work experiences, Alisha directly experienced how mentorship and service orientation positively impacted the communities and projects she was privileged to contribute to. Alisha recently completed a role as an Event Coordinator in the nonprofit arts and culture sector, and volunteers as the Interim Executive Director of Youth Policy Advocates’ Policy Corner, focused on creating policy skill-building opportunities for youth in Canada. In her free time, Alisha enjoys immersing herself in the arts.
