Abigail Ralph [she/her]

Abigail Ralph is a McCall MacBain Scholar and neuroscience researcher at McGill University whose work sits at the intersection of science, social impact, and systemic change. She is the Founder and Executive Coordinator of the MOR Initiative, a Toronto-based program that equips Black youth from equity-deserving backgrounds with mentorship, application support, and financial resources to navigate post-secondary education in STEM. Under her leadership, MOR has raised over $35,000 and reached more than 200 students across five high schools in Toronto and the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
A dynamic bridge-builder between academia and advocacy, Abigail has served as Project Coordinator for a national anti-Black racism research initiative at Dalhousie University and previously led human rights campaigns as Research Director at Amnesty International UofT. In 2024, she summited Mount Kilimanjaro to raise $22,000 in support of girls’ education in Somalia, a testament to her global perspective and bold approach to justice.
As a testament to her leadership, Abigail has received multiple awards including, Canada’s top 100 Black Woman of 2024, Building Community through STEM by the city of Toronto. Abigail is deeply committed to advancing educational equity and amplifying the leadership of equity-deserving youth.
