Sarah Ejekwuipe is a master’s student in Agricultural and Resource Economics within the Department of Resource Economics and Environmental Sociology at the University of Alberta. With a strong background in research, project management, and community development. Sarah is passionate about improving the well-being of households in rural communities and advocating for inclusive, evidence-based policies.

Sarah’s professional experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary, focusing on community-based participatory research. She also served as a Government & Regulatory Relations Intern at the Financial Market Dealers Quotation Group Plc. in Nigeria. Additionally, Sarah has led initiatives in various nonprofit sectors, including supporting marginalized communities through organizations such as Hope Missions and Myfarmbase Africa.

Passionate about governance and community development, Sarah advocates for inclusive initiatives that amplify diverse voices. She is eager to deepen her leadership and board governance skills through the Rise on Boards program, learn from experienced mentors, and apply this knowledge to drive positive change within her community, academia, and professional networks.
