Annabelle Liao [she/her]

Annabelle (she/her) is a recent UBC grad of the BSc Global Resource Systems program, where she specialized in sustainability and social impact. Her experience includes running capacity-building programs for staff, faculty, and students through UBC Campus and Community Planning, consulting for nonprofit organizations and start-ups, and attending the UN Climate Change Conferences as a youth delegate. After completing an internship at Vancity on their Climate Strategy and Performance team, she joined Foresight Canada, Canada's largest cleantech accelerator. As a Research Analyst on the Tech Adoption team, she helps map sectoral ecosystems and identify market-ready innovation that meets industry climate targets.

Part of the Taiwanese diaspora, much of her climate activism is informed by and for large ocean territories and island communities. She is passionate about equity-driven climate solutions and infinitely curious about effective bottom-up/top-down systems change!
